On Wednesday, February 26th the 6th graders got to do a half day ropes course at UC Berkeley, an experience designed to foster good team building skills.  They started the day off with trust walks, where some students were blindfolded and the other students had to guide them with their voices.  After that, they were ready to become “social climbers.”  After learning how to belay one another, our students took turns taking flight.  After that, they had the option to do various wobbly walks high above the ground.  The students told me it was scary at times but ultimately super fun.  They learned to lift one another up (both literally and metaphorically).
