Annette Skloot

B.A., University of California, Berkeley (Music)

Anette Skloot began her music studies in her native Sweden, joining her first student orchestra at age ten. She studied for seven years with Johan Hedelius of the Malmö Symphony Orchestra and at the Kävesta Music Program. Anette continued her studies at UC Berkeley where she received a B.A. with highest honors in music and studied flute with Janet Maestre.

Anette has also participated in master classes with Keith Underwood and others.

Since 1994 she has taught flute and piano full time in music schools, public school, and privately in her studio, teaching both individual and group lessons. She recorded on two widely released CDs and lives in El Sobrante with her husband (guitar) and son (violin).
